Who ARE WE?

Wow, that sounds deep…

Everyone has a story, here is ours…

New Circle Church began as a call impressed upon Barry and Amy Rager.  The Rager’s relocated to Mapleton-Fall Creek in Indianapolis from Western Kentucky in 2013 with the hope of creating a diverse, open-armed church that would be welcoming to all ethnicities, socio-economic levels, ages, and spiritual states.  The dream was that New Circle Church would be a picture of what the gospel can do- bridge barriers, welcome all, and conquer brokenness, creating a new 'Circle City.'

Mapleton-Fall Creek seemed like the perfect place to begin.  A historically African-American neighborhood that was beginning to attract young families and dense with abandoned homes in need of repair…(cont.)

VISION

In seeking the renewal of Indianapolis, we have a desire to see each person in our city made new through Christ!

All churches have truths they hold too…

These truths help unite each faith community. While New Circle does not primarily identify with any particular denomination, we partner with various networks and organizations in order to help us fulfill our mission.

Our beliefs guide our community, inform our partnerships, and impact how we seek to live within the world. If you are interested, you can read a thorough explanation of our Statement of Beliefs.

Community Groups

We all “need a little help from our friends.” At New Circle, we meet throughout the week in groups from this very reason.

Builders are the members of New Circle Church. These people are committed to living life with one another, caring for one another, and supporting one another.

The early church of the Bible grew through community.

"Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved."  Acts 2:46-47

In the church there are those who will dedicate themselves to the Lord - to serve Him, obey Him, and be used by Him. There are also those who dedicate themselves to fellowship with other believers, and lastly there are those who are committed to reaching the lost through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Every Christian is called to do all the aforementioned.

At New Circle, we call people in that sweet spot where all three overlap “Builders.”  We invite you to build the church with us!

How can you become a Builder?

There are several steps you can take to become a Builder:

  1. Get to know us by visiting. Please join us for Sunday Gatherings for a few weeks in a row. Each Sunday is a little different at New Circle. This will allow you to learn more about who we are and get to meet a variety of people.

  2. Fill out a Connection Card. There are Connection Cards available in the pews of our sanctuary. You can also fill one out here. By giving us this information, we will be able to reach out to you and best serve you in your decision about where God would have you worship.

  3. Connect with an our team. After we receive your Connection Card, one of our team members will reach out to you. The point of this is to help you learn more about New Circle and to enable us to get to know you.

  4. Attend Foundations. Foundations is our meeting for anyone desiring to become a Builder. This take place each quarter over lunch with childcare provided. We walk you through all of the aspects of New Circle Church and allow you to ask in-depth questions to know more about New Circle and to enable you to see how God is leading you to come a part.

Please know, this is a suggested path. God has led many to become Builders in various ways. We would love for you to get to know people through taking part in a Community Group and/or serving in an area of the church gathered. These are great ways to get to know the church in deeper, more meaningful ways before deciding to join.

If you have other questions pertaining to becoming a Builder or want to sign up for Foundations, please let us know!
